Overview of IOT
Overview of IOT
- IoT stands for Internet of things which means accessing and controlling daily usable equipment and devices using internet.
- It is a platform where everyday devices become smarter, everyday processing become intelligent, and everyday communication become informative.
- IoT is a system of interconnected objects, usually called smart devices, through the internet.
- Before the invention of IoT, there were only two type of communication either human-to-human or human-to-devices, but the invention of IoT made it possible to establish communication among Machine-to-machine(M2M) without any human interaction.
- IoT was first developed in year 1999 by Kevin Ashton, one of the founders of the Auto-ID Center as MIT.
